HISTORY

Barrier Angelucci (Pty) Ltd was established in 2001 through the combining of Barrier Engineering and Security Services, and Angelucci Roller Shutter Doors.

Barrier Engineering and Security Services was founded in 1995 to offer specialised, non-standard, security based products and services to South African Banks.

Recognising that a roller shutter door was a security product, Angelucci Roller Shutter Doors was founded in 1998 and offered a wide range of manual and automated industrial roller shutter door systems to banks, building contractors, retailers and manufacturing industries.

The combining of two corporations under Barrier Angelucci (Pty) Ltd resulted in increased efficiency, enhanced customer service, a wider security product range and increased research and development opportunities.

Barrier Angelucci has received a ‘BB’ rating from ‘Empowerdex’, a government certified BEE rating organisation. under this ‘BB’ rating, Barrier Angelucci meets and exceeds the current general BEE requirements set out under the banking charter and within many industries.

The ‘C’ rating reflects the actions taken by Barrier Angelucci in respect of the three core components of BEE:

• Indirect empowerment through preferential procurement and enterprise development and
